"Who's been painting my roses red? Who's been painting my roses red?
Who dares to taint, with vulgar paint, the royal flower bed? For painting my roses red, someone will lose. his. head!"
The Queen of Hearts - 'Alice in Wonderland' - Lewis Carroll.
If Alice thought that experience was... interesting...
...on Joy 94.9, Alice will meet the Queen of the Night!
Come, spend an evening down the Rabbit hole - from 6-7pm Sunday Night on Queen of the Night on Joy 94.9fm!
Just like the inseparable, troppo trio of the Mat Hatter, the March Hare and the Door-Mouse - where you find a Tim Burton and Johnny Depp collaboration, you're sure to find the musical input of Danny Elfman.
Along with music from Danny Elfman's score to the recently released Tim Burton film Alice in Wonderland, we'll have more Alice-inspired music than you can throw a disappearing stripey cat at, including:
- rare tracks from English cinematic composer John Barry's score to the 1972 musical film adaptation "Alice's Adventures in Wonderland" - starring, among others, Michael Crawford (of Phantom of the Opera fame) as the White Rabbit, and Peter Sellers as the March Hare.
- ballet music commissioned by Derek Deane (Artistic Director of the English National Ballet), inspired by Lewis Carroll, borrowed from Tchaikovsky (the queer-Rusian-composer-genius) and arranged by Carl Davis (US/English TV & film composer, and conductor with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra).
Why is a Raven like a writing desk? = *the Queen of the Night shrugs*
Contrarywise, why listen to Queen of the Night? = Old people music. Young people volume.
Join the mad tea-party! Celebrate your un-birthday with Queen of the Night - 6-7pm. Sunday. Joy 94.9fm
